WELCOME TO

Arnac La Poste

Small municipality in the north of Haute-Vienne. This city has one of the best examples of a fortified church in the north of the department, the Saint-Martial church from the 12th century fortified in the 15th century (Hundred Years' War). It has buttresses surmounted by cylindrical watchtowers and preserves a 13th century enamelled reliquary. A square tower, equipped with battlements and machicolations, is the only witness to the existence of a wall that made the church a real fort.
