WELCOME TO
Bussière Poitevine
The city of Bussière Poitevine is part of the municipality of Val d'Oire and Gartempe. Its Romanesque church, listed from the 11th and 12th centuries, includes a fresco of The Last Supper, as well as a funerary slab of a knight and a clay virgin of piety. Legend has it that King Henry IV stayed at the fortified farm of Busserolles, now private, which still has its 15th century tower. The farm of Busserolles is one of the last remaining traces of the activity of the Lords of Champagnac. Many of the hiking trails on offer will delight nature lovers.
