the territory
Everyone has their own vision and definition of tourism, either through their travels, their desires for destinations or simply through their perception of our beautiful France, our beautiful Limousin region. We must now become aware of the tourist assets of our Haut-Limousin.
This awareness of our staff, but also of all the shopkeepers, of all those who live or have an additional income thanks to a tourist action, but also of each of us, must lead us to understand that TOURISM is a fundamental axis of the economic development of our territory for the years to come.
It should be noted that tourism already contributes 16 million euros per year to our territory, thus contributing to the livelihood of local tourism stakeholders. This is why the law asks us even more: through an effective promotion of the territory, we must pick up tourists and do everything possible to ensure that they stay several days on the territory.
We have private or public cottages, already recognized places (Collegiate Le Dorat, Mortemart, Monts de Blonds...), exemplary communal achievements (Montrol-Sénard...), it is up to us to know how to sell them; this is the challenge of green tourism with an economic vocation.

The territory
Operational since April 2018, the Tourist Office of the Pays du Haut Limousin has been in operation since April 2018. Its mission is to welcome and advise tourists staying in the region and to attract new customers by promoting and enhancing the region's assets.
L’Office de Tourisme du pays du Haut Limousin couvre 46 communes du nord du département dont les 40 composant la communauté de communes de Haut-Limousin en Marche. L’Office dispose de 6 lieux d’accueil : Bellac, Le Dorat, Mortemart (ouvert en juillet – août), Saint-Sulpice-Les-Feuilles pour notre territoire et Châteauponsac et Saint Pardoux sur la communauté de communes voisine « Gartempe-Saint Pardoux ».

The Community of Municipalities implements the "tourism promotion" competence on our territory.
Elle dispose de plusieurs équipements touristiques et de loisirs en gestion directe ou indirecte :
To Cromac, the Lake Mondon campsite,
propose des emplacements de camping, des mini-chalets et des mobil-homes.
Les activités autour du camping et du lac, comme l’accès à la piscine avec son bassin aqualudique, la location de pédalo, le court de tennis, le mini-golf, la randonnée, la pêche, sont ouverts à tous.

Cyclotourism
Our Community of Communes will sign an agreement with the French Cycling Federation to create a Cycling Area. There are 21 of them in France.
The objective, through the creation of sports or tourist tours and appropriate communication, is to bring groups of cyclists for discovery stays. They will visit our cottages and work on our tourist economy; it is a targeted tourist marketing action.
Fishing
Fishing is possible in Lake Mondon and the pond of Pouyades, for everyone, with the purchase of a fishing card for a day, a week or a year.
This map is common to the Etang des Pouyades and Lake Mondon.
