The Cross on Gartempe
Common with a strong religious imprint. One of the most remarkable elements of the Cross on Gartempe is undoubtedly the 17th century Christ on the Cross, as well as its 11th century Romanesque church. The church tower is covered with chestnut shingles, it is also octagonal in shape, and inside the building there is a crystal reliquary surrounded by silver threads containing plots of the True Cross as well as the relics of Saint Theobald and Saint Israel.
