WELCOME TO
Magnac Laval
Former barony and then duchy, Magnac-Laval has kept two private castles in its commune: the Château de Chercorat and the Château de Sirvenon. The traces of old ramparts are still present, as well as the bases of a 14th century tower, and the Old College which has kept its bell tower covered with chestnut shingles. As for the Saint-Maximin church, with its stone bell tower, it has been listed as a historic monument since 1925 and its name has been given to an annual procession of 54km. In the commune is also the Etang des Pouyades where it is possible to fish for carp.
