Classified One of the Most Beautiful Villages in FranceMortemart has many vestiges of the past, including the Château des Ducs. In the central square there is an 18th century hall, former offices of the seneshaeus, as well as notable houses. It is also possible to see two convents: the Carmelite Convent and the Augustinian Convent. The church houses wooden stalls from the 15th century and a gilded wooden lectern from the 17th century.
